How are gulets managed with safety precautions for children?

Our more experienced captains also take the wind into consideration and will cruise your route in that way that the wind is always in the back. They will never do hard sailing. Sailing will be more comfortable for you and for your children.

The other aspect of safety for children on a gulet is that the gulet has a super saloon. And the layout of cabins is positioned in the way that if your child comes from the cabins below and wants to go out, he needs to cross the big saloon and everybody sees him. In that way, you will always have him 100% under control. Even if you drink a beer on the deck and your child sleeps in the saloon or below deck.

This saloon is also very handy for the time of cruising. When cruising you can leave your child with an ipad, phone or board games inside. You will keep him safe and happy and won’t have any dangers of falling into water.

All gulets also have all the safety equipment needed for safe cruising:

Life jackets (for adults and children)
Throwable flotation devices
Fire extinguishers
Visual signaling devices
Sound signaling devices
And also medical kits

Also, all the gulets have tender boats or dinghies for some quick emergency transportations to the ports.

For safety reasons, all the gulets have a wooden or an inox rail that prevents falling all around the boat. Some of the gulets have also the safety net around the rail so your children on a gulet will be protected all the time.

But if on some occasion happens and somebody who can swim falls overboard, you need to understand, a gulet is not like a big cruise ship where there is real danger. It’s more like a boat and in the end everybody will more laugh because of clumsiness than be really worried.

The crew is qualified and trained for an event. But firstly it is more about prevention. It is still a boat.

That’s why it is very important that the children and mostly the parents follow the ship rules on a gulet and don’t leave little kids wandering around when sailing or when maneuvering. Listen to the captain and keep in mind SAFETY FIRST!
