Do we need to pay in advance or on spot for our beverages in Croatia?
The payment method depends on the beverage concept you choose and the gulet you cruise with.
In Croatia, you will have 4 options to choose from. Keep in mind not all of the gulets have all four options on offer.
Beverage options:
- All-Inclusive package
- Corkage fee
- Bar price list
- A.P.A.
- All-Inclusive package
If you decide to go with the All-Inclusive package, you pay during your check-in procedure in cash or in some cases in advance if possible.
On some gulets, they accept advance payment methods. While on others, they operate just with cash and at the beginning of your cruise. What payment method is on your gulet, you will be informed upfront at the right time. An all-inclusive package means you go with the local beverages and don’t drink a lot.
- Corkage fee
If you take Corkage fee, again you will pay the fee during your check-in procedure.
The supermarket bill of the beverages that you ordered and want onboard will be waiting for you on your gulet. So apart from your Corkage fee, you also pay the supermarket bill on the spot, during your check-in procedure.
Corkage fee option means you do drink a bit more and want to have specific beverages on board.
- Bar Price List
The bar price list is a possibility of a beverage package, where you pay all your drinks at the end of your cruise in cash.
At the end of your day, you check with the captain what was your consumption, so you know about how much you spent. If you want, you can get the price list in advance.
Bar Price List option is for the group that doesn’t drink at all or very little.
- A.P.A.
Advance provisioning allowance (A.P.A) is an option that not all gulets offer. It is an option where you pay a certain amount of money in advance or in cash on the spot.
If at the end of your cruising the amount is still in A.P.A. you get your money back. If it shows during the cruise the money is insufficient you add some more on the spot in cash.
It is a perfect option for the ones who want to decide during the cruise how the money will be spent.
